It is a blessing to be chosen to lead the Men's Cursillo weekend in April 2026. I don’t say that because I feel especially blessed; I’m honestly not sure I’d know how to measure that; but because I believe deeply that a loving, caring God made us and keeps drawing us back to Him. Saint Augustine captured it so well: “For you have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”

That’s what Cursillo is about for me: rediscovering that love, that invitation from God. And I’d love for you to experience that with us. I invite you to come and catch a glimpse, through our community, of the God who loves us unconditionally; who “thirsts” for us in our brokenness, and even more so because of our brokenness.

I had long prayed about the notion of my being rectora.

“It’s not for me” was my thought, but God persisted and finally

I decided I to step forward in trust and humility to accept the invitation to serve.

Since that time I have been overcome with wonder and excitement over the possibilities that lie before me, the team and the candidates who will attend this Cursillo. Let me assure you the Holy Spirit is alive and well!

“Here I Am” is our theme and song. There is a different twist to this title that can touch the heart as it did mine when I first heard it. (Have I stirred your curiosity?)
